LibreSync 0.4.1 fixes a sync problem and makes connecting easier to follow.
Fixed: files that would not save
- With all files access, a big file could stop part-way with "write failed: EBADF". It now finishes. Files that stopped before carry on where they were.
- A folder no longer stays on "Checking for changes…" after a sync that never ran.
- If many new files appear in a both-ways folder at once, LibreSync now holds them back and asks before sending them to the server. Its own half-downloaded files were never sent.
Connecting, step by step
- After signing in or entering a pairing code, you see each step tick off: found your LibrePortal, signed in or code accepted, this phone's own key, your folders, ready.
- If the server is busy, a calm line says so. If a step fails, it turns red, says why in plain words, and offers Try again.
- Home, What we found and Folders show the shape of what's coming while they load.
One short line per folder
- Each folder says one short thing, like "Up to date · 2 min ago" or "1 file couldn't sync". Tap it for the details: what came and went, and each problem in plain words.
- Notices and Settings rows fit on one line on small phones and with larger text.
Choose how often to check
- Settings has "Check for changes": every 15 or 30 minutes, every hour (now the usual), every 3 or 6 hours, once a day, or only when you tap Sync. It shows roughly when the next check is. Android may check a little later to save battery.
No second copy of a server
- Opening LibreSync from another app for a server it already has goes straight to that server on Home. A pairing code for it asks first, and the default is No.
- LibreSync never adds the same server twice.
Nothing is ever deleted on your server.
