LibreSync
Keep your phone's photos, music and files in sync with your own server. Private file sync for Android over WebDAV. It works with LibrePortal, Nextcloud and ownCloud.
It is for people who want their camera roll, music and notes on their own server instead of a big-tech cloud. There are no Google services, and nothing is sent anywhere except the servers you add.
Preview: it works and is in daily use, but expect the odd rough edge.
What you get
- Shared folders on your phone. Your server's shared Music, Photos and Video appear as folders on the phone and stay in step.
- Photo backup. Pick camera-roll folders and they upload to your server, with place tags kept.
- Changes show up at once, without a Google push service: your phone listens to your own server.
- Several servers, each shown as a card with its status.
- Easy sign-in. If the LibrePortal app is on the phone, LibreSync can sign in through it after you allow it. It never sees your password.
- Works with others. Add an ownCloud or Nextcloud server by hand if you like.
Get started
- Download the APK, or see the download page. Android 8 or newer; the first time, Android asks you to allow installs from your browser.
- Open the app and add your server. A LibrePortal server gives you a QR code to scan.

Contributing and reporting problems
Found a bug or have an idea? Open an issue. Please never post passwords, keys or other secrets in an issue; describe the problem and we will say what to share. Security problems: use the report a bug page rather than a public issue. Pull requests are welcome.
