LibrePortal Wiki

The LibrePortal wiki: plain-words guides to running your own private server, plus docs for developers building on it. Read it at wiki.libreportal.org.

It is for anyone setting up, using or building on LibrePortal. It is written for people, not robots, and searches entirely in your browser: nothing is sent anywhere.

What is inside

  • Getting started: what LibrePortal is, what you need and how to install it.
  • Using LibrePortal: backups, updates, the VPN, people and sign-in, privacy and security.
  • Every app: a page for each of the 70+ apps, with what it works with.
  • Backup Server: a second home for your backups.
  • Help: FAQ, troubleshooting and a glossary.
  • What's new: what changed in each release.
  • For developers: access keys, status documents, webhooks and CrowdSec.

Spotted something wrong or unclear? Open an issue, or send a change: read STYLE.md first. Building from source: see Building from source.

Contributing and reporting problems

Found a bug or have an idea? Open an issue. Please never post passwords, keys or other secrets in an issue; describe the problem and we will say what to share. Security problems: use the report a bug page rather than a public issue. Pull requests are welcome.
